Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will reportedly go more in depth between Kylo Ren and Rey's relationship from the previous installments, according to Vanity Fair's exclusive preview of Episode IX.
Following the reveal that the Knights of Ren will return in The Rise of Skywalker, Adam Driver discussed Kylo Ren's relationship with Rey and where their connection lies following the events of The Last Jedi.
"And then he had been forging this maybe-bond with Rey," Driver said, "and it kind of ends with the question in the air: is he going to pursue that relationship, or when the door of her ship goes up, does that also close that camaraderie that they were maybe forming?”
