Spider-Man is one of the few Marvel heroes with a supporting cast and rogues gallery wide enough to support an entire cinematic universe. And that's exactly what Sony is trying to launch. Even as Tom Holland's Spider-Man makes his mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters, or SUMC (as the studio is calling the series internally), is drawing from all corners of the Spider-Man franchise in order to create new movies starring characters like Venom, Morbius and Black Cat.
